About Dan Burke
Dan Burke is a powerful speaker who regularly brings his audience through an array of emotions as they follow him from conversion to living the contemplative life. He has committed his life to the advancement of faithful Catholic spirituality and you can hear him doing this weekly on EWTN’s Divine Intimacy Radio show. He is also the author/editor of twelve books dedicated to authentic Catholic spirituality. He founded the Avila Institute for Spiritual Formation which offers graduate and personal enrichment studies in spiritual theology to priests, religious, and laity in more than 60 countries. About Father Matthew Murray
Fr. Matthew Murray joined Holy Spirit Church in Fremont on July 1, 2017. Fr. Matt is a parochial vicar at Holy Spirit. He is the eldest of eleven children and was raised in Antioch, CA. He studied for two years at the University of Dallas before hearing the Lord’s call to become a priest for the Diocese of Oakland. He completed his BA in Philosophy at St. Patrick’s Seminary and University in Menlo Park, CA, before being sent to study in Rome for three years. After studying for his Bachelor of Sacred Theology (S.T.B.) at the Pontifical Gregorian University, he was assigned to be the Campus Minister of Saint Joseph Notre Dame High School in Alameda, where he served for two years. After being ordained a priest on May 26, 2017, he was sent to his first assignment, Holy Spirit Church in Fremont! Fr. Matthew enjoys running and hiking, but does not enjoy kale. He is deeply grateful to God to be able to serve the people of Holy Spirit parish.
