The Cross of Christ Gives Life to the Human Race

Christ is our bridge from death to lifeThe cross of Christ spanned the jaws of death like a bridge by which souls might pass from the region of the dead to the land of the living. Let us offer our Lord the great and all-embracing sacrifice of our love, pouring out our treasury of hymns and prayers before him who offered his cross in sacrifice to God for the enrichment of us all.

Desire for the Vision of God

desert imageTeach me to seek you, and when I seek you show yourself to me, for I cannot seek you unless you teach me, nor can I find you unless you show yourself to me. Let me seek you in desiring you and desire you in seeking you, find you in loving you and love you in finding you.. [From Saint Anselm]
