Community and Regional News — July 2024

  • THANK YOU.
    Thank you to all our nine presenters for the OLMC novena and to Catherine who opened the Fireside Room each day where we gathered. It was a beautiful presentation/sharing! Thanks, Dianne, for picking a great topic for discussion!
  • INQUIRERS TO THE ORDER.
    Please invite all inquirers and others interested in joining the Order to attend our Community meetings. Marilou will hand out information packets and forms to be filled out by all inquirers. Phase One will begin as soon as we know how manly inquirers are interested in Carmelite Spirituality.
  • NO COMMUNITY MEETING IN AUGUST.
    There will be no Community meeting in August because no facilities are available. Also there will be no August Regional Day of Recollection (DoR) in Napa. Our next DoR will be December 14, 2024, the Feast Day of Saint John of the Cross. Christine (our Regional Coordinator), however, will pursue having another webinar. More information to come.
  • JULY AND AUGUST BIRTHDAYS.
    Happy July Birthday to: Carmencita (July 16). And since we are not meeting in August, advance Happy August Birthday to Nona (August 5), Hermania (August 24), and Alfredina (August 27).

Lectio Divina for September 15 community meeting is the gospel reading for the Twenty-Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time: Mark 8:27-35.

Prayer Intentions
