October 2024

  • UPCOMING COUNCIL ELECTIONS.
We will hold an election for our new Council members in November. The open positions are Director, Secretary and Treasurer, plus additional councilors as needed. Election results will be announced at our December meeting.
  • NOVENA TO ALL CARMELITE SAINTS.
The Novena to All Carmelite Saints will take place November 5-13, 2024 in the Governo House Dining Room. Dianne will be sending you a list of the saints that will be discussed each night of the novena. We encourage you to sign up to give a presentation on one of those saints to the community. If you are not able to be with us in person, please pray the novena on your own. (Novena prayers can be found here.) Those who can attend 8:15 a.m. Mass on the feast day, November 14, 2024, please wear your scapular.
  • REMINDER.
Instead of attending the Regional Day of Recollection in Napa on December 14, our council has decided that we will have a community meeting on December 15. We have missed several community meetings this year due to lack of facilities, so it is important that our community meeting take priority over the Regional Day of Recollection.
  • OCTOBER BIRTHDAYS & FEAST DAYS.
Happy October Birthdays to: Maru (October 19), Rose (October 2), Clarita (October 25), and Susan M (October 28). Feast days this month are for: St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus (October 1) and St. Teresa of Jesus (October 15)
