This new Question-and-Answer Series was begun in the attempt to clarify questions and/or concerns that came up during the 2019 Lay Carmelite Convocation in Chicago, IL. Cindy Perazzo, the Coordinator of Lay Carmelites for the Province of the Most Pure Heart of Mary, will address one or two questions every Friday and we will post them on our website. Eventually, all will be covered. You will note that usually, she will throw in a little personal philosophy in regard to the question as well.

Letter of the Prior General on the Solemnity of Our Lady of Mount Carmel 2019

Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. One more year, the solemnity of Our Lady of Mount Carmel is approaching and, therefore, I would like to send very warm greetings to all those who, in one way or another, are part of the great family of Carmel. On these days we not only remember and celebrate the Mother of the Lord under the beloved title of Carmel, but we also feel part of a family that lives its faith with that special aspect, "as Carmelites", at the service of the Church and of humanity.

This ceremony concluded the international course of formation for Carmelite students which took place in Holland and Germany, and which Citoc-online will presently describe.

Letter of the Prior General on the Solemnity of Our Lady of Mount Carmel 2018

Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. I would like to send you my most cordial fraternal greetings on our patronal feast, in which we remember Mary under the beloved title of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. We commemorate Our Mother and Sister, the Domina loci (mistress of the place) that is at the center of our lives and that inspires and encourages us to live our Carmelite charism at the service of the Gospel, of the people of God and of all humanity.
